Phone Conversations

I was wondering how to properly format a phone conversation in which one character is talking to another, and the scene would cut between shots of each character in two different places.

Would I put something along the lines of 'we cut between the locations of each person as they speak'?

RE: Phone Conversations

Split Screen
A screen with different scenes taking place in two or more sections; the scenes are usually interactive, as in the depiction of two sides of a phone conversation. Found that at: http://www.screenwriting.info/glossary.php

Celtx actually has a split scene option in the formatting but I don't know yet exactly how to use it. You might find something in the online tutorials or the video walkthru at www.celtx.org. Sorry I can't be more helpful. Hopefully someone else will come to your rescue.

RE: Phone Conversations

Well I didn't mean a split screen where you could see both sides of the phone conversation at once, but rather something like we see full screen of someone on the phone, then completely cutting to the person on the other end where they are, and back and forth.

But thanks anyway :)
