Is anyone else actually *drawing* their hundred pages?

I basically decided to do Script Frenzy this year because I've always wanted to draw comics but have held back because I'm not great at drawing people, or indeed anything that isn't copied from a stock photo. It's good, because the practice is helping me a lot. And since I joined up in the last days of March I didn't have time to plan anything (hell, I didn't even have an idea).

So I'm curious: is anyone else literally at the drawing board, or is my interpretation of *script* frenzy a little bit too liberal?

Well, if you can do it, go for it! I admit that I am also working on some very rough outlines for pages when I am in a rut (like these last couple days have been). But that's entirely different from drawing it all out initially. And for me, it's less drawing "board" as it is "little wire-bound hard drawing journal from my school days" that I carry around with a similar-sized graphic novella that I use for panel shape and placement ideas. It helps.

I didn't get something:
do you describe how each page should be, summing up to 100 pages in the comic?
ex. 1st page: page 1 is like this this and that. and the zombies appear.

2nd page: page 2 is like this this and that. and the zombies eat the heroes girlfriend.

or just write write and write until it doesnt fit anymore?
ex. 1st page: page 1 is like this this and that. and the zombies appear. page 2 is like this this and that. and the zombies eat the heroes girlfriend.

Usually, from what I've heard any my experiences this month, it turns out about the same. CeltX starts a new page for each comic page.

As for the drawing 100 pages thing, I tried NaNoMangO last year in June, and they only expect you to do 30 pages in the month. I don't think 100 completed pages in a month is possible. 100 sketches, maybe... but 100 completed pages of comic?

Yeah, my pages are very much at the sketch stage at the moment. My theory is that if I can use up a hundred words in Nano by having my inner editor storm through the fourth wall and yell at the characters then it's okay to go a bit sketchy for Script Frenzy. I mean we're all doing first drafts right? ;-)

I'm determined to finish, but I don't think I'll do a graphic novel like this again: it's exhausting keeping on top of everything and it's harder to get the word/picture count when you can't lapse into Nanoisms whenever you hit a block. But at least I'm learning about framing and stuff.

I'm drawing my script. Once I've finished writing it, of course. Still, I may run out of pages (i.e., win Screnzy) before I get the movie version done and move on to the comic. May and June, I'm focusing on the graphic novel (and finishing a complete draft of the original '07 NaNo novel for once).

Yeah, I plan on drawing mine to :D
Though I also think it would be really hard to do in just one month (if you had a lot of free time you might be able to sketch it all out) but if you were going to color it/ add screen tones ect. It would take a lot longer.

Hi,i agree to you it is not that easy to have a good hand on the script table and drawing cartoon crazy characters,it indeed requires lot of sketching skills and perfect a bit of training, but you can easily achieve this just keep on practicing.
