Pretty please with a cherry on top, would you

send out a "back-up your script" official day notice?

I am amazed that I continue to see writers signing off because they've "lost" their work...

Nanowinner, age 55, with 60 pages, is the most recent victim. There were more earlier. We writers are too smart and too hard-working to do such a stupid thing as to write without a back-up somewhere. But I guess we need reminding...

RE: Pretty please with a cherry on top, would you

Hi I did 'loose' 60 pages, I DID do back ups BUT the Celtx refused to let me down load it all I got was a Error massage. I contacted Celtx but the best they could do was three pages from a scene I had deleated on day three. In fact I tried down loading it again, twice from both my disc and from word document but each time it was refused.
So I bit the bullet and started again with a different script and with the clock ticking plowed on and finished last night.Yes I agree everyone should do back ups but sometime things are out of your control.:D
P.S thanks for telling everyone my age:(

Because of my backing up mania there was a glitch with my PDF and it counted my back ups so it looks like I did loads more but the real figure is 152:D

Well, if you want to do so, you can manually update your page count to the correct 152 page count. It will not remove your winner status.

NaNo 2006(win): "Children of the Stars" NaNo 2007(win): "Darkness Falls" NaNo 2008(win): "Dark Storm Rising"

I think your best bet would be to go to word and just copy and paste random words until you have the exact pages you actually wrote for your script.
And than save the doc as a pdf. And upload that doc to 'validate' it.
Than your winner status will be back on.

hope it helps and congrats!

You can create a proxy file of 152 pages and upload that - it's on-your-honor, so we won't check to see if it's a valid script.

I went in and fixed your winner status, Nanowinner. You should be able to access your winner's goodies now!
