Does the validator shut down at midnight on 4/30?

Do we have to race our files in for validation before the clock strikes midnight on 4/30 - or can we leisurely validate the next day?

OK - so I'm a newbie - what of it?

Yes, it shuts down. As soon as April is over, so is Script Frenzy :)

(Moderator: consider moving this to Feedback)

It seems a little lame, to me, to shut the verification down quite that abruptly. Yes, there would be a potential for abuse if left on for a little while - but, for heavens sake - there are all kinds of ways to cheat if one is so inclined. We're all participating on "the honor system".

RE: Does the validator shut down at midnight on 4/30?

The challenge runs from April 1- April 30. Allowing validation defeats the purpose of a deadline. ;) The whole point is to complete the challenge in 30 days... not 30 and a half, or 31.

We hold the same principle in NaNoWriMo, as well.

We understand that people sometimes can't validate on time, or run into technical glitches, so we have procedures in place for people who need help after the deadline.

But since this is a question about how the site works, we'll be leaving it here in Tech Help. Feel free to start your own thread in suggestions if you'd like to make one. :)
