So, I didn't win...

But that's okay, because I got to 46 pages, a record for me. I might have finished except for some personal problems and a boring-ass script which made my motivation dip to nothing.

But still, I'm proud, because I got this far.
My script needs serious work, but my characters are good and solid. I need a break, I'll go back to the novel I dropped at the end of March.

So thanks everyone who helped me.

And I have an idea---- you know how April is writing month? Well what if May was "Revising month" and July (skipping June on purpose) was "Writing query letters" month and August was "Sending it out" month...?
and so on....

Anyhow, any other people who might not have finished but are still happy?

RE: So, I didn't win...

I got 15 pages today, so over 100 now but I still didn't meet the deadline. Thats usually how it is with me and plays/webcomic scripts. I am terriable at meeting deadlines with them, although I won nano. The presure helps, but I'm always right at the very last moment since I can't seem to get the modivation before it too late.

Maybe if I hadn't been fooling around with the pdf thing I would have won, but I had to go and fool with it, and the formatting still is not right. Not that it needs to be since I will probably just make the webcomic from the outline anyway.

RE: So, I didn't win...

Yeah, I didn't win either, but I'm not broken up about it. I won NaNoWriMo two years in a row, but I find the script format a lot more difficult. I think my great idea wants to be a short story, not a script, so I'll rewrite it that way. Maybe next year I'll adapt a story, but not that one, since it's disqualified by the handful of pages I managed to get out this year.

On the other hand, I'm now kinda fascinated by screenwriting, which is something I never really thought about before. I'm even thinking of finding an affordable class or workshop.

RE: So, I didn't win...

I may or may not have won. I just finished several minutes ago, and it's 10:58 here, but it's not going to let me change my page count. Damn timezones. Anyway, if I didn't win, this is my topic. My condolences to you all, as well.

Sometimes real life juat interferes too much. There was I happily writing my porn...er, I mean erotic...vampire script and I found I had to think about other things! v~v

RE: So, I didn't win...

Yeah, me either. I actually gave up a while back.

I'm happy though, because writing my first screenplay made me realize how much I absolutely love novel writing as opposed to script writing. So, I still had an epiphany.

I was breaking the last Screnzy rule anyway.
