there's a free program called Celtx where it automatically formats your script but there are also some books on the subject. A couple I have are:
You Can Write a Movie by Pamela Wallace (she wrote Witness)
The Complete Book of Scriptwriting by J. Michael Straczynski (creator Babylon 5)
