I have a script for a comic book I've litterally been working on and off on for two years, and it never sits right. I've re-written the whole thing multiple times, juggled the scenes around and beaten the damn thing to death. I just finished reading through the latest version I wrote a couple of weeks ago, and it's still not right. I've actually finished a storyboard of an earlier version of the story, and have 10-20 fully drawn pages.
I'm not sure where to take it from here. The story is simply not working out, no matter how I've turned and twisted it around. It's a bit hard to just put it on the shelf, since I've spent a lot of time and effort on it, but right now that's what I'm most tempted to do. I've got a couple of other scripts lying around that actually work, and are ready for me to draw.
Should I just accept that it's not working, or should I keep hammering at it or use some brilliant technique to beat something usable out of it?
