Writing a Musical

Well, like many other writers, i am taking a leap and writing a musical. i alreaduy have a storyline, and are trying to think up some lyrics to fit in. i get the ist verse and chorus, then get stuck! any suggestions?

I would say it depeneds how you write. but lyrics are basicly monoluges put to music. I'm not saying it's that simple but if you can focus on how you would write a long monoluge then look at it in a revision setting for better musical sound. or if you write poetry but lengh is the problem try to follow the charters frame of mind. ideas form slowly sometimes in steps. other times a sudden relization makes a person need to backtrack. hope this helps
