Binding a Film Treatment
I'm submitting my screenplay to a competition, and they're also asking for a sequence treatment and a synopsis.
How should I bind my treatment? Do I bind it with brass brads as well or do I just staple the sheets together? The treatment I drafted is a little more than a dozen pages long.
__________________________When you write Act II Do You restart counting letters?
If I was Scene F on Act 1 and I just finished it, about to write Act 2, Do I start over from Scene A or Scene G
__________________________flashback video with simultaneous v.o. narration
For this scene I need to show a flashback (video only) with v.o. narration describing what goes on the screen.
I don't know how to write it so that it is understood that the video and the narration are happening simultaneously.
__________________________Opening on a Sequence from Another Movie
I know this might sound strange, but I want to open my screenplay on a scene from another movie. Eventually, we're going to zoom out and see that my characters are watching the movie on their TV, but at the outset I want people to be a little confused. Regardless of any legal questions, how do I format?
__________________________Capitalization in dialogue
Do you ever capitalize in your dialogue? I'm talking about when a new character is being introduced for the first time. If they are saying their name or if someone else is talking about them, do their names get capitalized since it is the first time in the script or do you wait and capitalize it in the action?
__________________________Pronunciations
Okay, so I know it isn't Script Frenzy yet and I'm kind of jumping the gun, but I have a question for one of my other screenplays.
How do you put something in the script to display a pronunciation? It's important to the plot line that someone pronounces something in a specific (wrong) way. How would this be written in? And what about odd names and such? Is there any way to tell the actors how to pronounce Myrvyn or Magi'ka?

Extracting a single character
Hi everybody,
I'm looking through the forum, but I still cannot find the answer:
Can I extract the lines of ONE character from my script and save it as PDF file? After filtering one character in the "Reports" option I go back to the "TypeSet/PDF" option, but I find there the whole script again...
Thanks for help!

__________________________Intercuts between places?
I want to do intercuts between 2 people, but they're in 2 different places. They are not talking or anything, but traveling to where they'll eventually end up in the same destination. How do I format this?
__________________________Oh, and one more thing: Capitalization
I've read that italicizing/bolding words in a script is a no-no, but is it okay to capitalize words that have accelerated volume? For example:
SUSAN
Wait, so what are you saying? ...mom, are you actually grounding me? B-but what about the party tonight?! PLEASE MOM, HAVE MERCY!
Is that a generally accepted thing to do, rather than having to put in parenthesis that a person has increased their volume?
__________________________So, how exactly is a cartoon show supposed to be formatted?
One like Family Guy, or The Boondocks. Are there specific guidelines that must be followed when formatting scripts for an animated sitcom? I have a feeling it's more flexible, in contrast to a typical script...but I could be wrong.
And what about cartoons that are split into two shorts, like The Powerful Girls or Ed Edd & Eddy?
Thanks very much in advance.
