Where can I go with this idea?(Plot ideas?)

I'm interested in setting my new script in the universe of the Alien franchise. I'm a huge fan, and I've decided it would be interesting to either make a fourth sequel, or maybe a prequel, like the origins of the xenomorphs. But I can't think of any good ideas! So, I'm asking you, my friends here, to help me think of plot ideas. Anything is welcome, but I'd prefer if you have watched attest the first and second films. (the rest are irrelevant to me.) Thank you!

Is it bad to base your script around a video game?

Namely, a character in a video game? I'm basing my script around The Happy Mask Salesman from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Now, I know I'm not planning to publish it or anything, but is it alright to do so?

Need holiday names

Hello.

This has stumped me for ages. I made this race of aliens and some of their holidays are coming up. For six months, one month for each tribe, they "fast" for a few weeks then they have this huge festival at the end celebrating their role in their community and to honor their god. When I say fast, I mean from their powers.

I have a tribe that uses/controls fire, water, air, telekinesis/earth, pure energy and a tribe that's a blend of the others.

Discrepant Awareness or Shocking Reveal?

So, I just had an apiphany the other day. A lightning bolt struck a great new story idea into my head with no warning at all.

Very quick summary: Early 1970s. Stifled, dissatisfied 18-year-old boy leaves home to travel. After months of hearing nothing at all from him, letters start arriving to his family from across the world describing his wild adventures. The letters become the highlight of his younger brothers' lives. The climax comes when it is discovered/revealed that he never did any of the things he wrote about and is broke, strung out on drugs, and dying of AIDS.

I Know This is After April, But....... Sci-fi or conspiracy?

Okay, so this is obviously after April, but I was wondering if anyone could give me input on a book idea I have. It's either gonna be SUPER science-fiction or a sort of conspiracy thingy. So, here are the two ideas.

Illegal activities in a bank?

I've got a couple of bankrobbers that hit a bank. Thing is, one of the characters is doing it as revenge against the son of the guy that owns the bank. It's considered revenge because the family that owns it is using it as a front or something for illegal activity, so they can't/won't call the cops about the robbery.

Dates/dating. I really need help with this for my script!

So... *laughs nervously* never dated anyone. I'm very accustomed to being the solo girl.
However, my main character is going out on a date, and I don't know what to write, I have no idea what people do on a date, or where they could go. Yeah, maybe dinner and a movie, but, in my opinion, that is a bit over-used.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Need quirky/humorous protagonist/antagonist interaction

I think one of the running jokes in my movie will be that the good guy and bad guy have oddly similar traits/quirks, and might have been friends had they not been on different sides, but neither of them see this, because of their blind hatred.

In one scene, bad guy has good guy captured, and he says (sarcastically, he's not entirely serious...he's making fun of movies where this sort of sentimental scene happens)...he says, "Under different circumstances, do you think we might have been friends?"
