Reaching 100 Pages
More than one script?
I have a feature length script in mind that I should be able to push past 100 pages, but I was thinking about boarding out a short to work on when I get sick of the original story. Does anyone else do other work to keep themselves writing?
Advice on working around a vacation
I hope this is the right place for this... I'm just an ickle newbie, please be nice ^^
Basically, I'm going to be on holiday in France for the first week and a half of April... without any sort of computer access. But I still really want to do this script thing.
So does anyone have any advice for how I can manage it? :)
I need Help: PUNS
My whole Script idea is based on a play on words, and the theme needs to carry throughout.
I may manage to adapt some preexisting puns, and that may be preferable, because being witty on the spot for 100 pages is none to easy.
So, post as many Puns as you know, I would really appreciate the help.
Tackling the little things...
My writing partner and I have an idea and are putting together a better outline and are getting ready to split up who is writing what.
Despite all the various planning we can't come up with a title. They get thrown out as too silly, cliche, or boring. I tend to have the same problems naming certain characters or spells.
Just wondering if anyone else has similar problems and if you have come up with any creative ways to handle them.
Young Writer's Resources are awesome!
Have any of the other SF newbies checked out the resources available on the Young Writer's Program page?!

I am a first time screenplay writer, and have been kind of freaking out about the whole process. So I printed out the workbook for high school students, and it is so awesome.
I know it's supposed to really be for the kiddies, but this 34 year old writer is very thankful for all the work that went into this information! :)
When do you begin writing or outlining?
How much is enough before you start putting pen to paper? Do you write a short synopsis or outline before moving forward and at what point do you feel ready to do that outline
Do you have to know your title, how many characters, names, motivation, story arc, character change, turning points and end? Before you move ahead?
Like I have a rough idea for a script but im not sure if i have enough to begin outlining, i have no turning points right now, just a rough overview idea of the story.
So... I've only got my idea... what now?
Just as said in the title, this thread can be used by more than just me, but here is my relevant problem.
All I have is an idea:
"I'll write 'Clue' but make it my own, and not use the 'Clue' tm"
Script Frenzy Vs. NaNoWriMo?
Hello all! I'm a long-time NaNo participant, and I've been kicking around the idea of doing Script Frenzy this year (Been wanting to do a webcomic for ages, this seemed like a good way to get started), but I'm not sure I'll have the time. If it's anything on the level of NaNo, I doubt I can manage it.
So, my question is, how does Script Frenzy compare to NaNoWriMo time/difficulty-wise? 100 pages doesn't sound like quite the hurdle NaNo is, when you take into account script formatting and whatnot, but I'd like to get a good idea of what I'm getting into before I commit.
I don't have a plot yet :-s
I'm getting nervous. As ML I've put all my prepping energy into getting everything ready for everyone else. I actually forgot to come up with an idea for a script myself! It really didn't occur to me until just yesterday when I had a free moment. On top of that I also wanted to write a short story for the WD competition this year. :-s Gadzooks! I'm afraid to blank page it this year.
Is anyone already writing?
I mean, has anyone already started writing random skits, or some other form of script just to get in the hang of writing whatever kind of script they'll be doing next month? Now that I've got the hang of it, I'm trying to write three pages a night, so when April comes, I'll be ready to start my screenplay. Is anyone else already doing this?
