Anyone Kow A Lot About the Criminal Justice System?
So, I'm doing a television script about Public Defenders, and I know very little about how the criminal justice system works. If anybody has any information about it, I would be forever grateful.
How many significant characters can you sustain emotionally?
So, if I want to make a drama with several characters of some importance, how many of them do you think it's realistic to juggle before the audience has too little time with them to care?
I'm thinking averages, since there are probably examples of people going with many and still pulling it off, but I am curious to hear what you all think!
Got a plot in mind or just a vague idea?
Someone has to post first, I figured I might as well since the I know this is the genre my script will fall into.
I currently only have a vague idea what I am going to do this year at this point. I know I want to do a stage play. I know I want two female main characters. And I am pretty sure I want it to be about domestic violence.
Other than that, I have no plot. No clear idea of what I am writing yet, but I have a month to go...right?
So how about you? Do you know what sort of dramatic script you want to write or are you planning to wing it with just a few vague ideas?
