Action/Adventure/Epic/War
How does this sound?
I'm writing a kind of apocalyptic genre script, but the antagonists are not zombies. They are a race of intellegent fish-beings that have decided that they are fed up with the surface dwellers, and decide to take over(the race will either be "The Undertakers" or "The Undertaking"). Sound good?
BTW, I'm new here, so, hello everyone!

How many MC's dead is too much?
I love my characters to death. Literally. A small group of teenage rebels living in the backwoods of a communist America aim to bring about a revolution.

Westerns!
Anyone else writing a western? I'm trying to adapt Louis L'Amour's Comstock Lode into a screenplay.
__________________________Arrrrrrg! Who's doin' pirates?
I'm writing me a pirate musical for wee ones, and I'm wondering who else out there is upholding the mighty freedom of the seven seas?
(I've also been reading far too much on the National Talk Like a Pirate Day website)
Anyone have any good pirate resources? (besides the aforementioned site I've read too much of and Pirates of the Carribean. :P )

What genre do I belong in?
Hi, first time frenzy here. I just had a rather quick question: where exactly does my story fit?
Basically, in 2500, God sends down 5 beings, and should at least 3 of them survive for 20 years, humanity will be spared. My main character attempts to find and protect these 5 with the help of an organization, battling many religious groups and other groups of people to save them. The war for the five involves several continents as well. I'm just wondering what genre this would fit in: Action/Epic/War, or Fantasy? Or a mix of both?
And is anyone else writing a religion-themed script?
__________________________Good source for WWI military procedure?
My script happens to be set in the First World War, and while I have a layman's familiarity with modern military procedure, nomenclature, and so on, I'm still looking for a good resource on how things worked in 1917. Anyone know any good starting points?
__________________________Reasons to Start a War?
My script is set 3000 years from now, when all the other planets in our solar system are inhabited by humans. No aliens. It's actually a romance story, but it has this war sub-plot thingy that I can't figure out. Basically, the government of a planet launch a missile at Mars that kills over half of its population. The Martian government doesn't know which planet it was from. Later, the same planet will make more attempts at killing Martians/taking over/whatever.

How thoroughly do you describe action scenes?
That is, fights and car chases and the like.
Are you meant to make it very vague and let the director decide how most of it will unfold, or do you get more involved with the positioning of your characters and such?
__________________________In need of major plot help.
So a while ago I had this idea for a movie, (well at the time it was actually for a book but since then I have decided to make it a short movie to film with just some friends, low budget, bad acting etc.)
The idea came about while having a discussion with my sister about sleepwalking.
The idea:
To write a story about Dreamwalkers, people who can walk in and out of other people's dreams. NOTE: i had this idea before I had even heard of Inception, so no, I am not trying to rip off inception though many of the ideas are very similar.
