Is this a good plot?
A girl (15? 16?) volunteers at a horse rescue and adopts one of the horses.
Soon after, the rescue euthanizes several horses, for reasons that they honestly believe are fair.
Tempers fly, some staff members and volunteers quit, donations and visits to the rescue dwindle, and other rescues fight back.
After the girl's adopted horse has been training for a while, the girl and horse compete.
