The Beat

Our writer search is a bit rusty at the moment, but our tech guru is on the job. If you are having a hard time using the search function to find a buddy, here are two ways around the issue:

1. FrenzyMail. If you know the username of your buddy, send them a FrenzyMail message. When they get the message, your profile link will be there. They can then add you as a buddy. You'll get a notification of a new buddy that includes a link to their profile. Then, you can buddy them back!

Did you see what happened? The first brilliant bar of the Box Office is illuminated! That means that you, wonderful Frenzies, and your generous donations have carried us to $10,000 and beyond. That also means that we at Headquarters get paid this month (and next month, too!). Woohoo! Thank you for your generosity and support. We look upon you and your golden tickets will great pride and appreciation.

Dancing in my twirly chair,
Jen

Script Frenzy is on Facebook and Twitter.

Facebook    Twitter

Invite all your Facebook friends to join in you April!

Stay connected with us on Twitter. (It will be especially helpful when our servers hiccup or sneeze.) I'm brand-new to Twitter and have to remind myself not to post every passing thought, but I can't promise that one or two won't sneak by.

With eight days left (Yay!) and no story idea,

Script Frenzy - Top 5 Reasons We're the Worst Scriptwriting Contest We had our first-ever print ad published in the March/April 2009 issue of Script Magazine! It was so fun to see our ad across the page from Matthew Broderick.

I love getting the question, "Why do Script Frenzy if there is no winner and no prize?” We’ve incorporated that skepticism into the ad and had a blast dubbing ourselves "The Worst Scriptwriting Contest."

I told a white lie. I said today was the last day to apply to ML for Script Frenzy. We're getting so many incredibly awesome applications, though, that we want to leave the gates open through the weekend. You can sign up to become an ML through Sunday, March 15. On the 16th, I'll take the form down.

Municipal Liaisons (or MLs) are volunteer organizers in cities around the world that support and encourage local scriptwriters on to their 100-page goal.

We’ve had six months since April to travel about in the land of re-writes. How has it been going?

The revision process for me has been filled with moments of euphoria followed by heartbreak and tears. I’ve settled somewhere in the middle if you average it all together with some sort of writerly happiness barometer.

How are all your revisions coming along? Drop me a line!
