A summer school classroom with a handful of students, all sleeping. heather stands at the blackboard teaching a history lesson, back to the class

Heather

Adolf Hitler's rise in power was due in large part to the instability of the German government at the time.

She turns to face the class, and sees that no one is paying any attention.

HEATHER

And I'm a secret agent and as soon as I leave here I'm flying to France to have a secret meeting with their secret police about an Germany's underground spy operation.

She looks for some reaction. She doesn't get one. She rolls her eyes and reaches under her desk and pulls out a violin, which she begins to play, very off-key.

The students jump and cover their ears. Heather continues to play for a minute, to make sure they all are up, then sets the violin on her desk and sits down.

Heather

Did we all have a nice nap? Good, now I'm sure you'll be able to pay attention, you'll need this information for your 5000 word paper on World War 2. First draft due Tuesday.

The class groans. Heather smiles, and turns back to the blackboard.

HEATHER
