An Excerpt from Glass Cleats (working title)
Um, well I didn't see a place for summary/plot synopsis, so I'll stick it here. My plot is about a soccer team based in Rhode Island. After a coup takes over the US government and the xenophobic new dictator declares soccer illegal, the team is arrested and tortured. They escape to Scotland and somehow end up on a rebellious US World Cup Team led by their old beat reporter-turned-coach. Pundits everywhere predict a first-round exit. Could they become the greatest Cinderella story in the history of the game? Will they be able to play on their home field again? Will they survive with a price on their heads?
