COLD OPEN:

EXT. A BUILDING IN A CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT OF A BIG CITY - NIGHT

We see several stealthy figures, dressed in black with backpacks make their way across a rooftop of a skyscraper. They get to the edge of the roof and one of them, NEMESIS, removes the backpack and takes out its contents: a length of COILED CORD, and something wrapped in black cloth and tied. The bundle is untied exposing its contents which looks like a weapon that has been broken down to its component pieces.

NEMESIS then assembles a CROSSBOW quickly, quietly and with confidence. When it is assembled a sighting device is installed. Instead of a scope it is a EOTECH HOLOGRAPHIC WEAPON SIGHT. From the cloth bundle a CROSSBOW BOLT is taken out, one end of the cord is threaded through a ring just beneath the bolt's head and secured with a climber's knot.

NEMESIS takes one last piece of equipment from the back pack. It's a set of NIGHT VISION GOGGLES. NEMESIS wears it, cocks the crossbow, then raises and sights it.

NEMESIS fires the crossbow. The bolt sails into the air with the cord leaving a contrail. The bolt bites into the floor of the next building's roof deeply. Another member of the team, SPHYNX who we can see is female, pulls the cord taut, testing its security. Satisfied she drives a PITON into the wall and secures it with another climber's knot.

SPHYNX removes her outerwear to reveal she is wearing a HARNESS. She removes a DEVICE WITH RUNNERS AND A HANDLE from a pocket and attaches it to the cord then in one fluid movement rides it to the next building. She is joined by NEMESIS who uses the crossbow for the same thing.

NEMESIS and SPHYNX remove the grating of one of the exhaust vent. NEMESIS dons CRAMPONS while SPHYNX attaches a length of cord to her harness. NEMESIS digs the crampons the surface of the roof for steadiness as SPHYNX lowers herself into the vent.

We follow SPHYNX as she makes her way down the exhaust vent. When she comes to the other end she gingely opens it and GRACEFULLY lowers herself to the floor

INT. Building - nIGHT

SPHYNX is in a darkened room. She stealthily makes her way to one end which leads to a dimly lit room with moving lasers. SPHYNX enters the room and uses a combination of GYMNASTICS, BALLET AND YOGA moves in an attempt to avoid the lasers. She almost makes it to the other side when she breaks the beam of one of the lasers.

Instantly the lights come on and an alarm sounds. SPHYNX freezes as IRON DOORS slide down from the ceiling effectively blocking every exit and TRAPPING her inside.

After what seems like an eternity one door slides up to reveal a PALLAS (50s), she is beautiful, with long raven black hair and gray eyes. She has an air of seriousness and intensity about her so strong that it makes one forget she is wheelchair bound. Behind her is NEMESIS and three other women: OVERRIDE (18) She is pale skinned and lighthaired: an albino. Her face is soft and gentle and she is doe-eyed. It is the face of one who carries a deep hurt masks it with a carefree attitude. STEEL VIPER (40s) is lean and buff, her body lightly muscled. This is a woman who takes care of herself. Her dark blonde hair is pulled back in a ponytail and she looks at Sphynx sympathetically. ABRACADABRA (20s), is thin and willowy and strikingly attractive. Her girly girl appearance belie her tomboy nature and skillsets, as we shall see later.

NEMESIS (30s) removes her BALACLAVA revealing her mixed Asian heritage. She could be Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese. Highly intelligent, she is a perfectionist and looks throroughly ANNOYED.

SPHYNX (20s) removes her balaclava, FRUSTRATION etched on her face. Her face is perfect for the stage: large luminous eyes, full cheeks and rounded forehead, lush thick hair. She looks younger than her actual age but posseses an understanding and compassion that is beyond her years.

PALLAS

(after a beat)

Let's do it again.

7. INT. H.E.A.R.T. CENTER - WORKOUT ROOM- DAY

The H.E.A.R.T. Operatives are working out.

Nemesis is practicing Jeet Kune Do moves with a wooden MUK YAN JONG, Steel Viper is doing RESISTANCE TRAINING with a barbell Abracadabra acting as a SPOTTER. Sphynx is performing her ASANAS; she finishes the TRIKONASANA and moves into a PARSVA BAKASANA.

Override mooches in, her head bobbing to a tune she is listening to on her iPod, eating a pint of BEN AND JERRY'S. The others give her dirty looks and Steel Viper looks at it longingly. Abracadabra notices and shakes her head

ABRACADABRA

Uh-uh Sam; not unless you want it to go to your hips and butt.

STEEL VIPER

(makes a face)

It ain't fair that I gotta work twice as hard and eat half as much just to look as good as you kids...

NEMESIS

It's so worth it, Sam; you always look twice as hot!

OVERRIDE

Hey hotties, young and old...

(that earns her a glare from everybody)

the Queen Bee wants to see us like now.

All the H.E.A.R.T.s stop what they're doing and grab their towels and leave. As we watch them go Steel Viper and Override talk.

STEEL VIPER

(wheedling)

C'mon Emily, lemme lick the carton--I'll settle for the spoon!

OVERRIDE

(disgusted)

Ewwwwww! Desperate much?!

(makes a face and gives her both)

Happy lickage and knock yourself out!

Steel Viper licks it happily while Override looks at her disbelievingly and shakes her head.
