INT. HEAVEN - THE MEETING ROOM - DAY

All the Angels are standing together in the meeting room. One person is sitting on a chair.

GOD
You have disappointed me severely, Angels.

XANDER
And for that we apologize. We have all been tempted and corrupted by the evil powers.

GOD
Mortals make mistakes, Angels do not.

XANDER
We beg your pardon, sir. We realize that we have been in the wrong.

GOD
Being aware of your mistakes and acknowledging them is good, but it is not good enough. You have failed to keep the promise you made, and for that you will pay.

XANDER
We understand, my lord.

GOD
Your crime is severe, and so your punishment will be severe as well. You are to be banished from Heaven. Yes, all of you.

There is a collected gasp.

GOD
Mine was not an easy decision to make, but I hope that you will understand regardless. There is no place in Heaven for betrayers, no matter how bewitched you may have been.

The Angels look shocked.

XANDER
My lord.. I do not know what to say.

GOD
(smiling gently)
But do not think I am not forgiving, Angels. The planet I will banish you to will flourish under your reign, and will eventually grow out to become the center of your universe. There will be peace on your planet, and love. This I grant you, Angels. Do as you see fit, but act wisely.

XANDER
We thank you, my lord.

God smiles again, and snaps his fingers. The Angels slowly fade away. God is left behind sitting on the chair, looking very tired, and very old.
