The digital clock on the nightstand clicks over to show 12:00 pm as it starts to blare its annoying buzz. Mykalla rolls over and smacks the top of it almost knocking it over onto the floor. She pulls herself out of bed, staring at the clock. She walks back into the main room of the apartment with more perk than the first time we saw her and puts a CD into the stereo before she drops down at the kitchen table. She pulls her laptop out of her satchel as the music fills the apartment and powers it up. She quickly writes out a check and rips it out of the checkbook before starting to work on the laptop. Her elbow knocks over stack and a formal envelope slides out of the pile right in her eyesight. ZOOM Envelop: Mount Saint Mary Academy Alumni Association. Mykalla moves her attention from the computer screen to this fancy envelop. She flips it over a few times to examine it, tapping it on her hand in thought. She slids it open carefully as to not rip it and pulls out an invitation to her 10th high school reunion.
