An Excerpt from Hunter - The Legend

The young BEN IMINEL walks coolly through the back streets
of the city of Stelkar. He carries an old, but well-polished
hover board. Even for his young age of 17, he has defined
muscles, and a developed, bold face.
EXT. AIR BOARDING ARENA DOOR - CONTINUOUS
He walks up to a busy building, lined with flickering,
flashing neon lights, and a large neon sign saying "Air
Boarding Here." A big, rough-looking man, a bouncer, stands
by the entrance. When Ben approaches, though, he steps aside
quickly, allowing him to pass.
BOUNCER
Good to see you again Ben. You
haven’t been around for a while.
BEN
I’ve been busy.
INT. AIR BOARDING ARENA - CONTINUOUS
He walks into a large air boarding arena, similar to a skate
park, except more modern, and more modified to the hover
board. It is crowded with rough-looking men and woman either
in the arena, or standing and watching those in the arena.
Many of them seem to recognize Ben.
CROWD MEMBER #1
Hey, Ben! Good to see ya!
CROWD MEMBER #2
Where’ve ya been, Ben?
CROWD MEMBER #3
Why don’t you show these losers how
to really board! Go to it Ben!
This last comment brings on cheers from the crowd. Ben
simply keeps walking to the edge of the arena, seeming to
prepare his hover board. Withing seconds he is off and
boarding, doing incredible stunts and tricks all the while.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 11.
He goes all across the arena, doing every trick imaginable
in every situation.
We notice that while Ben is at this, Major, wearing a
trench-styled (yet more modernized) coat, is slowly edging
his way to the front of the crowd. He is watching Ben very
closely, with a small, rough grin growing on his face. The
crowd cheers very loudly at Ben’s stunts. All the other
boarders have left the arena, and are now watching him very
closely. Finally, Ben ends his routine with a flourish, and
simply walks out of the building, all without saying a word.
EXT. AIR BOARDING ARENA DOOR - CONTINUOUS
Ben is seen exiting the building the same way he went in.
BOUNCER
Beat them all again, did we?
Ben doesn’t say a word. He walks away. The screen shows the
bouncer standing quietly at his post. Major then walks out
of the building, heading in the same direction as Ben.
BOUNCER
Wait a second! Where did you come
from? I didn’t let you in!
MAJOR
Yeah you did. I went right past you
and you didn’t say a word!
BOUNCER
(Becoming agitated)
Now wait just a second! I did not
see you at all! How did you get in
there?
MAJOR
(Smirking)
By walking, of course!
Major continues walking in the same direction Ben did,
leaving a dumbfounded bouncer at the door.
