EXT. SCHOOL PARKING LOT — CONTINUOUS

The parking lot is full of cars and students standing in various potions on the grass. Other students walk to their cars. Hazel is sitting on her bookbag on the grass. She watches Jude say goodbye to Lilly as her mom drives her off in her mom's car. Jude sees Hazel and walks up besides her.

YOUNG JUDE
Hey Hazel.

YOUNG HAZEL
(Acting surprised)
Oh. Hey Jude!

Jude takes his bookbag off and sits on it next to Hazel.

YOUNG JUDE
So, are you going to the show opening tommorw night?

YOUNG HAZEL
(In an energetic voice)
Of course!

Jude laughs at Hazel's answer.

YOUNG JUDE
Of course?

Hazel gives an embarassed laugh.

YOUNG HAZEL
I mean yea. You're a really great actor.

Hazel hides her face between her hands.

YOUNG HAZEL
(In an embarassed voice)
I can't believe I just said that!

YOUNG JUDE
(Laughing)
No. It's okay! Thanks. How many of my shows have you seen?
