INT.CASTLE TREBOND. - DAY
We see a young girl, ALANNA, sitting infront of a mirrior. Her hair is a fierce red, pulled back in a long braid. Her eyes are a pale violet.
A man stands behind her, a somber expression of his face. CORAM, her manservant, has a rugged and scarred body. he is in his late thirties. He is graying slightly.
Ye can't do this, lass. It won't work.
It can. It will. Please, Coram.
Ye'll be turning into a girl soonlike. Ye can't hide that forever.
I won't let that stop me. Coram, I can do this. Thom can't be a Knight, he doesn't even want to. I can! I can fight, I can shoot. And you're the one who said that nobody can skin a rabbit faster than me!
(uncomfortable)
It's yer hide if yer caught. Remember that. And Lord Alan will have me papers, too.
Please.
It's done.
(determined)
I'm ready.
