ODESSA
That you think me as an Austen fan?
Travis looks taken aback by her comment and she laughs at his expression.
ODESSA
(continued)
I’m not offended. Though I am quite surprised actually that you’d think a soldier has time for romance literature and to be quite frank I am a bit intrigued to the fact that you’ve read them yourself. It’s puzzling that you didn’t make a War and Peace reference.
TRAVIS
Well, I attempted to read Tolstoy, but there was way too much war in War and Peace.
ODESSA
I would think you would have gathered that from the title.
TRAVIS
Quite right, but then I came across Pride and Prejudice and thought that may have less gore. I started reading it to find absolutely no gore, but a rather charming love story.
ODESSA
(giggles)
Must be a hit when you hit the pubs.
TRAVIS
Actually it does. Ladies seem to like a man who knows the attitudes and behavior of Mr.Darcy.
ODESSA
(scoffs)
They’re fools, Darcy is such a jerk!
