Audio or Screenplay

I'm going to be adapting, or actually writing in tandem with my novel-in-progress. This is my first script and I am not sure whether I should attempt a screenplay or an audio/radio play. The benefit of the radio script is that I could actually produce it myself, whereas shooting a film, especially a science fiction film, is pretty far out of my area of expertise.

The book so far can be found here.

Any feedback or advice?

Thanks,
Clif

RE: Audio or Screenplay

I didn't have time for a detailed read-through, but my immediate impression is, this could work very well as a radio script. It seems very dialogue-driven already and would just need some tweaking to fit in the more essential exposition you give in the prose, whether with a narrative or working it into the existing dialogue. However, it could also work as a movie.

The main question apart from your expertise in working with the respective media, I think, is whether you're content to tell your story through sound alone, or whether you feel the visual element is important. So far your story seems character-driven, so that actually seeing the story's action isn't all that necessary, but I can't speak for the upcoming plot.

RE: Audio or Screenplay

Thanks for reading and replying. I think you're right that the action component will be a defining factor in which way to go. I'll have to put a lot of thought into that over the next few days.
