[STICKY] Introductions |
I don't know about you guys, but I really want to meet other people who are going to do a GN or comic script. So why don't we introduce ourselves? Make sure to include and ideas you have for a future script. ^^
I'm Miata-4 . . . you can call me Miata, or Elli (which is my real name.) I am 14.5 years old,(and a high school freshman)and I love writing and drawing. I like manga, which is one of my main reasons for deciding to do a GN script. Another reason is because I have tried drawing mangas before, ended up drawing about half a page's worth, and then forgetting about the whole idea. I'm hoping that writing a script for my manga, it'll be easier to stick with it.
I'm still developing my ideas, but I'll definately post them once they're developed enough to put them here. ^^

RE: Introductions? |
Well. Um. I'm Mizure, or Chelsey, or Ches, or "hey you" works too...I don't actually know if I'm gonna be doing Screnzy this year, though I'm gonna try, and if I do, I'm definately doing a comic script (if I can figure out how to do it...) I'm 17, female, out of school. I enjoy manga and anime and acting like a dork...uh...that's it...
----------
Ohnoes.
Screnzy '07: In Terms of Chemistry: 10k
NaNo '07: Rift Walkers: WON!!! *dance*
Screnzy '08: ?!?!?
NaNo '08: ???
"Sorry if this is weird but, do you like flying kites?"

RE: Introductions? |
You can call me Yasa. I, like "hey you" ;-) above will answer to many names.
An aside -- Mizure, do you prefer that or Chelsey. Your name your choice.
Anyway, I was planning to start writing a web GN. Kind of a co-release thing, self published with something like Lulu. My artist partner and I have brain stormed characters and such already. Then Ik heard about Screnzy.
I failed pretty miserably at NaNoWriMo last year. But I am around someone that wants to see this project finished, so Screnzy is a good thing for me to try. It even happens to include this format.
The premise is SF, with teenage hackers that are extremely talented. Mains are 2 girls -- one that is really good at normal hacking and one girl that uses magic to accomplish basically the same effect. They probably won't ever meet in RL.

RE: [STICKY] Introductions |
Hi! Everyone calls me Neko. I turn 15 in April and I plan on writing a GN and dragging my friend into writing something too. I have a plot for a manga that I want to write, but i think I'll save it to turn into a bigger thing and use one of my old ideas this time i gave up on -.-'''. I love anime and manga more than most people and am always on the computer for my home school. Once I pick a plot I'll share it with everyone k? douzo yoroshiku.

RE: [STICKY] Introductions |
Hey, I'm Ling, and I'm 19 and a college freshman. I started out drawing comics after I started buying manga, and 8 years later I'm still working to improve. I'm hoping this year will help me launch my first really serious endeavor. My planned script for this year is about a snarky girl who runs her own paranormal investigation agency, her vampire assistant who she mostly uses as a sherpa and menial laborer, and the people they interact with on the job. I've had the ideas bouncing around in my head for some time, and I'm really looking forward to getting them down on paper.

RE: [STICKY] Introductions |
Hullo! ^^
I'm going to be writing a comic book script this year - for my first year - because that's what I'm going to college for! I'm excited to start and I kind of wish April would hurry up and get here, but at the same time I'm afraid. >.>
You can call me any form of "tehtinycheeseminion" you wish, and Virago works too.
Perhaps after I write the script, I'll draw it... if anyone's interested, I can share with you!
edit: Oh, my script... It's either about a warped version of Candyland or the story of Skelly Noxious, his love Pumpkin Creame, Father Time, and Matron Malice. :D

First timer. Name is RingOtaku or RingO for short or just David. I'm just about 26 and am a lifelong idea-creator so writing seemed to be something I should make an attempt at. I'm a huge fan of comics both American and manga as well as enjoying pro wrestling and animation in it's many forms. Feel free to ask me any questions you have that I didn't think to answer already. lol

RE: [STICKY] Introductions |
Hallo, all. I'm Jack. Or, obviously, I'll answer to perpetual.insomniac or any derivative thereof. 19, college sophomore, all-around geek.
Did NaNo for the first time last year. That was an adventure. I've been looking forward to November '08 ever since.
Never done ScriptFrenzy, partially because I haven't known about it, partially because I thought it was strictly movies/plays, and that ain't really where my interest lies. But comics? Graphic novels. Yes, please! Maybe I'll even walk away with something I can draw a comic off of.
I have no flippin' idea what I'm going to write about for this thing, but whatever it is will most likely be a collaborative effort. I've got a boyfriend/partner-in-crime who I intend to drag onboard, and we'll see what happens.
So...hi, everyone!

Oh man.
Hi, I'm Katie, but I also answer to katiebean.
This is my first time doing scriptfrenzy, just like last year was my first year doing NaNo. I think I'm absolutely INSANE to be doing this, as NaNo turned into hell for me, because school decided November was a good month to start PILING on the projects. Plus, I've already had to write a comic book script for a school project, and it was INSANE.
But it was also hella fun, so I guess that's why I'm back here again!
I'm writing a good ol' fashioned superhero comic. No tights though...But there's aliens and magic, and a little bit of romance, but only because I'm a sucker for it.
Can't WAIT! I wish it was this month, I have a feeling that April is going to turn into another November...
