RE: Class of 2009! |
Hehe, I'm all for a copetition against the 2010-ers. After all they are all still freshmen to me. I had my a class last year with a big group of them and they became "my" freshmen because I was the only (sorta) upper classman in there, and I haven't been able to shake that feeling towards them.
Anyway, I'm writting a Sci-Fi comedy opera. In it the captain of the space ship falls in love with a robot and his yeoman, who is in love with him, becomes really depressed and stops doing her job. The First Mate is forced to take over both of their jobs. This means he has to over seeing getting the ship ready for a big fancy ball to welcome some ambasadors abord the ship and transport of the the already abord amasadors to the meeting place. He kind of starts to lose control of his crew early on because they try to cheer up their "sweet little Marry" (the yeoman) and evetually everything seems to become complete chaos.

Woot! Go class of '09!
This April will be my first ever Script Frenzy, and I've got to admit...I'm totally excited, but also a little nervous. I've never written a script before, only fanfiction and short stories. But it sounds like fun and when I saw that you could write novel adaptions I was really intrigued. So, to answer your question, I am going to attempt to write an adaption of my absolute favorite book, "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. The funny thing is, Twilight is currently being made into a movie. So we'll just have to see who adapts it better, me or the professionals (psh, as if we don't already know the answer to that! It will be me, of course! :D)

Yes! I'm all for squashing the underclassmen in a little friendly competition:)
I'm doing a SciFi tragedy which is a sort of sequel to last years script:) It should be rather fun, I've rather liked planning it:) I'm also doing a SciFi commedy with my friend that is a cross dimensional type of deal:)

I'm all for friendly competition!! Haha, so, my idea just came to me the other day. It's really hard to explain, but the main idea is that a guy got changed in to a vampire, and doesn't know who. So he spends the rest of his "life" searching for the person, and each decade he gets a flashback of the days before he got changed. He's an exceptional artist and charmer. Yeah, that's all I can type out before I like take out all my notes!! It sounds so much better than what I actually wrote.
Go 2009
Before you get inspiration...
You need to be inspired...

RE: Class of 2009! |
Haha Great!
I shall go pitch our idea to the 2010-ers and the all friendly ass kicking can begin :D
As for me, I'm writing my own original pilot. I'll probably end up doing episode two as well. Its kinda complicated to explain, and i know i wont do it justice, but i put the trailer up on youtube, so you can check it out if you want. My username is utoo272 and the video is called The Dreamweaver- Script Frenzy 2008.
As for this competition, if anyone has any suggestions as to how to go about it, that'd be great :D
As for now, I'm off to challenge the lil'uns. :D

Wow, they're hopeful. But you know, they'll wake up eventually.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! It took quite awhile cause my computer kept crashing :S
As for this competition, we need to set rules/ decide how it will work. Post if you have ideas on how to get it up and running.

RE: Class of 2009! |
I have an idea- you get a point for each page written. And, if someone finishes all 100 pages, you get a bonus 25 points. So, if someone writes 73 pages, they get 73 points for their class. If they write 103 pages, they get 128 points for their class. So, it's better to recruit more people, however, if they don't write, it really won't help ya'.
