Introductions!

Hey gang. So I realized, we haven't realy introduced ourselves yet. So...here's the thread to do it!

I'll go first.

I'm Sarah (or Rah). I'm a 20 year old college student hoping I can fit SF in between writing my prospectus, 2 big papers and a research project in April. I love writing...I'm pretty much obsessed. I'm a fan of music; Hanson, Avalon, Courtney Jay, Brandi Carlile, Cara Dillon, Casting Crowns, The Fray, The Rembrandts.

RE: Introductions!

Hey everybody!

My nickname's Neka and I'm 16 in high school. I love to write but don't do it enough (same goes for reading). I do however watch far too much TV, which is why TV scripts are perfect for me haha. I have never participated in ScriptFrenzy before but in 07 I tried NaNoWriMo for the first time and won so I thought it would be fun to try! Good luck in April! :)

RE: Introductions!

I'm Andrew from Virginia. I started off with Nanowrimo in 2004, when I managed to squeeze out 50,134 words and I haven't looked back since. After four straight wins there, plus winning this last year (which I swear was easier than noveling) and finishing a full season of tv scripts based on last year's SF, I expect to be fully burned out by about April 5th.

Balancing this with a college course I'm auditing as a refresher (I'm heading back to school this summer or fall for an M.Ed. and teacher certification) shouldn't be that bad. And like everyone, I'm really looking forward to April getting underway.

RE: Introductions!

High school Latin. I tried denying it (a lot and many different times) but Latin always kept creeping back into my mind, so I'm just giving in.

RE: Introductions!

Hey everyone, looks like I'm in TV scripts this time around. Last year I was in screenplay - but my characters this April won't have any of that. (They claim they have a lot to offer by way of "episodes" so I guess I'll find out soon enough.)

Anyway, I'm PenGryphon, or Pen, or Gryph, or whatever. I've done this once before and won, and I've done Nano successfully in 06 and 07 (I first heard about it in 06). I also found that script writing complements me a lot, because it helped me with dialogue.

I listen to a ton of different music, and since heading off to college I've encountered tons of music I might not have ever heard (including Dragonforce), though mostly Christian music is on my ipod. I'm also obsessed with writing, anything Disney, and puns.

God-willing, my laptop this time around won't die, and just in case, everything will be double and triple saved on my flashdrive (the joys.) Good luck to you all. And Latin rox! I'm taking a 300-level course right now on Vergil's Aeneid.

RE: Introductions!

Hey guys!

I'm Kate. I'm a photographer (of the lifestyle variety -- no muslin backdrops or goofy props for my clients) moonlighting as a childcare provider to pay the bills until business picks up again.

I have a passion for both television and script writing, so this is just an obvious choice for me. I did SF last year, but gave up about 12 days in. Hopefully I'll make it this time!

RE: Introductions!

I'm in the middle of some (often very dirty) poetry with Catullus. We're moving on to week of Tibullus before closing out the semester with my favorite, Propertius. And I found a way to channel all of this into my scripts, since I made my main character a Latin major. Just writing what I know, I guess. In my experience, Latin and Classics majors tend to be their own special sort of fun crazy, which for my writing purposes is a great thing.
