Stage Play--I'm looking for a man. ^.~

The reason I need a male, is I want a male to write the "male" parts of the play. I need a partner with a male POV that is willing to make fun of the stereotypes of what is considered masculine in the United States and Canada... well Western European-centric World. I'd prefer someone whose also been in relationships before... long term ones. Like at least living together. If you're married that's fine. =P Sounds like a twisted wanted ad.

The basic concept is to write what is basically a comedy with some romance elements. The whole play will consist of only two actors. There can be comments on family, etc, but they shouldn't show up in the play.

I don't have a plot so much yet, but I think keeping it simple like a couple whose having marital trouble and how they work through it. Whatever, I'm open to suggestions. Nothing complex. Comedies shouldn't have too much heavy plot elements.

The concept is something like in the center of the stage the actors act out a scene. Such as a fight or dinner, or whatever.

Then they walk out to stools on either side of the stage, sit down and talk to the audience, making comments at them. When they are talking to the audience, they are talking about stereotypes of males and females with a raw honesty and wit. (Making this not a PG play)

And the way they talk individually to the audience plays off of the other's comment--but they aren't aware of what the other is actually saying.

So rough example... the guy won't give up the couch because he's watching a football game... that would play into a male stereotype.

Example:

"What does he think football is?"

"I don't understand why she doesn't like football. Football is a man's game. It's a sport where we can play out our war urges."

"OK, I can dig the fact that men are wearing really tight pants and banging into each other with their sweat-laden selves. But it really makes me wonder if he's gay for liking it."

The idea is to play with the stereotypes of the male and female and then make fun of them with a much wit as possible. I can't have a conservative partner that's afraid... because then the humor won't work. Crass satire of the society. Then as the play progresses, it transcends the stereotypes and people get to see that the characters have more depth, and maybe they start to understand each other more than male and female, but human beings.

and so on... then scenes where they are interacting in the middle of the stage. But I need a male POV.

I'd like to coordinate on IM. The guy will be responsible for the following:
- The Male character's dialogue
- A witty sense of humor. The more crass, the better. The less shy, the better. Makes for a funnier play.
- The Male character's background.
- The male character's interactions with the female character.
- And working jointly on scenes, especially the ones that happen in center stage.
- Also brainstorming ideas for the little monologues.

I'll be taking the other half of the play. i.e. the female parts. This might be a lot like Role Playing, which may make it easier to write the play, especially if we do it through Instant messaging. I'm free all of April... I will be busy certain days, so coordinating on Instant Messenger shouldn't be an issue.

We'll work together on ideas, the plotting, and so on.

I have Skype, AIM and Yahoo messenger. I prefer Yahoo messenger or AIM. I don't like using MSN, but if necessary, I'll use that.
