When are we going to be able to verify?
And, how is that going to work? Will the count be closer to Celtx or to MS Word's count?

Details of verification will be released when that time gets closer; if it follows NaNoWriMo's pattern, then it will be close to the final week of the event.

I know just as much as anybody else about how validation will work, but I'm guessing it will have to do with lines of text per page. I don't see how else it could work.

Given the amount of whitespace in a script that wouldn't work well either I think.

After verification, can you change your page count, ie verify/validate again?

Validation will only work once; but if it works like NNWM (and there's no reason you won't) you'll be able to manually change your page count until midnight on April 30. After that, it'll be frozen for the rest of the year.

For the sake of constructive feedback, I think it'd be much easier if you had a very concrete date that we can rely on. I've seen two different dates about when the verification tab will be available: April 15th and April 25th.

This sort of confusion is slightly aggrivating as I find myself continuously checking to see if the verification tab has been added yet. Next year, please try to find a set date and stick to it. I love this contest, but this is the only thing that makes my eye twitch.

So, the verification thing is there, but apparently it requires a .pdf file. For some reason, I thought we'd be able to upload a Plain Text file. Now I'll need to download some software to convert a Word doc to .pdf.

In the past it was a plain text file, but with the change to page count, rather than word count, it necessitated a change to a different format, because plain text files do not have page breaks.
