Baby NaNoScriptMo

Need to start slower or get your toes wet first?

How about, like me, a 30 page Baby Script Frenzi?

Of course, this is not officially winning, but we could be the baby pool.

When I started out this month, I really had a goal of completing a 30 page, minimum, stage play.

If I actually graduate from that, I will be supremely pleased with my effort.

If, in fact, I surpass my baby goal, and go on to graduate to adult role of 100 pages, well, what fun that will be too!

But for now, I am participating in Baby Script Frenzi!

Anyone else?

RE: Baby NaNoScriptMo

Well... considering that my goal at the start of the month was just to write a stage play for my church and my first script topped out at 43 pages... I think that qualifies as a baby. It's only 13 pages more than your goal of 30 pages and that includes the cover page, characters, scenes and song list - which makes the actual play closer to 39 pages. ^_^

And look at you! At 22 pages, you're practically at your mini-goal! Good luck pounding out 100 pages by the end of the month (I'm trying for 100 pages in my cartoon script at this point).
___
NaNo 2006: Steel Bars - 59,233 words
Screnzy 2007: The Enchanted Forest - won
NaNo 2007: Turning Beetles into Buttons - 51,949 words
Screnzy 2007: Simple Gifts - 43 pages total & Butterfly - 4 episodes

RE: Baby NaNoScriptMo

Hi hmltwin!

Wow, I'm so impressed with you! 134 pages! WOW!

I would love to hear all about your play!

Are you planning to produce it for/with your church too! How fun!

Mine is exactly where I wanted it to be right now.
I am working daily on adding in the notes, fine tuning it, setting the format right, etc.
It's not done yet, but closing in.

I am so happy that I decided to try to create a *finished* smaller piece than go for a larger version on this round on script frenzi!
(And there's always next year!)

I am thinking that this is really so inspiring and I will write or progress a script every year here perhaps. Yes, a month where I devote some real writing time for scripts. Then, at the end of the month, I will return to whatever other writing projects I have.

This year, on May 1st, I will go back full force back into my other writing project as well.
I am editing the novel I wrote during last November's NaNoWriMo and that is a full time, full year commitment!

Kindest Regards,
-RT
