What's Your Script's Theme Song?

Basically, what song do you think describes your script the best. It can be any kind of song you want, just explain why you chose it.

Example:
Mine is "Gray or Blue" by Jaymay. I was listening to it the other day and it struck me how much this girl's story was like my main character's, Samantha.

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

I'm not sure what song fits my script the best because I'm still confuzed as to what my script is actually about ^^;

But I like 'Passion' by Utada Hikaru or 'Suteki Da Ne' by Rikki because I think the music and flow fits well with my main character Oji

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

(WWII era song to match my script)
When The Lights Go On Again
When the lights go on again all over the world
And the boys are home again all over the world
And rain or snow is all that may fall from the skies above
A kiss won't mean "goodbye" but "Hello to love"

When the lights go on again all over the world
And the ships will sail again all over the world
Then we'll have time for things like wedding rings and free hearts will sing
When the lights go on again all over the world

..................

When the lights go on again all over the world
And the ships will sail again all over the world
Then we'll have time for things like wedding rings and free hearts will sing
When the lights go on again all over the world

I LOVE my script!

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

Oh, definitely "Another Holy War" by Blind Guardian. Metal at its finest. It's what inspired the original story in the first place, which started out as a series of poems. Also, I could just totally imagine my script's antagonist shrieking out the first verse, "I am God, the only one! I will bring back freedom to your heart! You won't believe the blind can see! No one else before me ever knew the way to paradise. For another bloody crime I shall return!"

Also, because my script is about a holy war. That might have something to do with it. :P

Definitely "Haunted" by Poe. It's actually the name of the screenplay! :D Perfectly fits. Might try and use it as an intro to the credits, if I ever actually make this into a movie.

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

Time by Pink Floyd.

It's pretty much the theme of the screenplay.

If we're talking specific characters, then parts of Terrorize by the Cavalera Conspiracy would definitely fit too.

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

Either Any Other World by Mica or Keep Holding On by Avril Lavigne would be my theme song. I can sooo imagine Keep Holding On for a music video, but Any Other World really describes the whole thing better.

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

"I Can't Drive 55" by Sammy Hagar.

Ironically, it's because the characters cannot drive over 45 miles per hour at any time during their road trip, which is the opposite of the song's meaning.

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

David Bowie's "Sunday," from the Heathen album. Seems odd to pick a vaguely industrial rock hymn to serve as the "theme song" to a screenplay about King Arthur, but I'll be darned if it doesn't perfectly capture the mood I'm seeking: paranoid, yearning, slightly -- only slightly -- menacing...

It's a song looking backwards from the wrong side of destruction, trying to figure out how it happened -- and as it happens, that's exactly how my script is supposed to go.

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

Hmm... Trooper's "Raise a Little Hell" is the perfect nerdlinger theme song (if you ever met the people it's loosely based on you'd understand why). Queen's "Killer Queen" is also quite apt.

RE: What's Your Script's Theme Song?

Definitly 'Sympathy' by The Goo Goo Dolls.

It's just the song that helps me keep in the right mood as I write and the lyrics are very good idea generators as well as linking to the characters. Basically it works all round :-)
