The Sims 2, anyone?

Since there isn't a place for massive games like there is at the NaNo site, I thought I'd put it here.

So... who here plays The Sims 2? What's your favorite expansion pack? Favorite random thing that's happened while playing? Has it affected how much you've written for Screnzy because it's just that addicting?

RE: The Sims 2, anyone?

I have The Sims 2 and the Open For Business expansion pack.

OFB is pretty good, plus it gives you an easy way to make lots of money - I like to have my sims set up a home business, then as soon as they can afford it and have the "dazzle" sales technique, have them buy the fancy vase (can't remember what it's called) that costs about 3000 simoleons, then sell it at "ridiculously high", which is like 7000 simoleons I think. Then I have them invite a sim over, get their relationship really high, then use "dazzle" on them until they buy it.

My favorite "WTF" moment was when I was playing with the premade Oldie family and I took Herb Oldie to the park. He had to use the bathroom, and so he went over there, and then started having a fit in front of the door, stomping around and getting mad - and I realised he was trying to use the WOMEN'S bathroom. (I play with free will on - much more interesting that way).

I've also seem some really funny graphics glitches, but they're hard to explain. I have some movie clips I took, but I'm not sure where to upload them. Like a little series of clips of one sim who got glitched when she drank the elixir of life, then had a glow around her, and several times I've had sims glitch really weirdly when massaging other sims. I also have a little clip of three sims who are doing the "tired" animation almost in sync.

RE: The Sims 2, anyone?

I love Sims 2; the new Freetime one is fabulous. I love how the Film/Literature Hobby Sims read while they walk...It makes me laugh.

And who's excited for Sims 3, coming out next year? =D

RE: The Sims 2, anyone?

Oh, yeah, The Sims 3 comes out next year. Too bad I'll be a poor college student and therefore unable to buy anything or have access to a desktop to store it on. I have an Acer Aspire laptop named Kaya that I play Sims 2 on, but I somehow doubt that Kaya would have the specs for The Sims 3. I'm not sure if that's good because there will be a lot more content, or bad because I'll not be playing it anytime soon.

I only have the Nightlife expansion, along with the Glamour Life stuff pack and the Family Fun stuff pack. I want Seasons, though...

RE: The Sims 2, anyone?

Seeing this topic gives me the urge to play Sims2. I only have Sims2 because I can never afford to get the new games when they come out, and anyway the computer I would put them on doesn't have enough space for me to put a new game on it. Which totally sucks.

The first family I played with I had two family's living together, and both their kids got taken away from them, I guess I'm not that good of a parent. I just couldn't get them to do there homework.

RE: The Sims 2, anyone?

Hah-hah, I had a lesbian couple, and one of the women got caught cheating with another Sim (she was Romance aspiration so, y'know). They were just walking by each other one day, and they were still mad at each other. Next thing I know, there's this all-out brawlfest, and one of the friends that was visiting runs over and starts chearing them on :P

RE: The Sims 2, anyone?

The Sims 3 comes out next year? *plots to get a new computer* I need a new one anyway, because it's so /slow/...
I've got The Sims 2, University and Nightlife on my computer, none of the others because my computer can barely handle the three on it. If I added anymore it'd probably crash under the strain. -____- My sister though has all of the expansion pack though.
I've got only a few couples in my test neighborhood, one of which is a m/m couple. One of them is trying to make sure that they adopt like, 6 kids. At once. o_o But I haven't played in a while, probably should now that the semester is over.

RE: The Sims 2, anyone?

So I don't know if anyone will see this or not, but I got graduation money that I can spend part of on myself, and I'm going to get a new expansion pack for The Sims 2. I already have Nightlife and Free Time, and I really don't want to get Pets, so does anyone else have any suggestions?
