An Excerpt from Javelin
Frank Javelin is having THE bad day to end all bad days. When he last knew it, he was a studly, macho detective in 1970's Los Angeles, making his way in world he knew all too well. But this morning, he woke up in the future, almost 40 years older, fat, bald and clueless. It's all thanks to a 36-year-long coma he's just come out of, suffered in an attack that also led to the death of his partner. Now, with nowhere to go and everybody he knew either dead or falling apart, he must make his own way in the modern world, reclaim his rightful place in it, and find out who killed his partner and stole the best years of his life away from him. This is a comedy, in case you couldn't tell. |
