INT. ATLANTA AIRPORT - EARLY MORNING

The scene fades in to show a large crowd of teens numbering
at about thirty crowded around a woman. They all have
luggage with them, and are talking excitedly. The woman in
the middle is average height with short cropped curly black
hair. she is carrying a CLIPBOARD and looking at it. The
woman looks up from her CLIPBOARD.

MS. NEWMAN
Hello Latin children! Welcome to
the annual JCL Italy trip!Please
quiet down while I take role.

The group quiets down slightly. The woman, a Latin teacher
by the name of MS. NEWMAN, begins to call out names.

MS. NEWMAN
Steven Brown!

Ms. Newman turns to a fifteen year old, tall brunette just
to her left. He wears an Abercrombie t-shirt and shorts. His
hair is a soft almond, and is cut short. It is easy to see
large brown eyes behind his thin rimmed glasses. STEVEN is
trying to look over her shoulder at the CLIPBOARD, but
quickly backs away when he realizes he is caught.

STEVEN BROWN
I wasn’t doing anything Ms. Newman,
I swear!

MS. NEWMAN
Sure you didn’t. Page Holloway!

A sixteen year old chatting with her friend a few feet away
stops talking. PAGE has short, dark brown hair. She wears a
Track and Field shirt for her school, and bluejeans with
flipfolps. She turns towards Ms. Newman and smiles brightly.

PAGE
Hey Ms. Newman!

MS. NEWMAN
Felice Johnson!

A small fifteen year old girl looks up from a thick book
sitting in her lap. She adjusts her rimless glasses and
pulls up the sleeves of her baggy gray hoodie. FELICE seems
to shrink back at the mention of her name, and looks as of
she is hiding behind her wavy dirty-blond hair.

FELICE
(in a small voice)
I’m here.

Felice returns her attention to the book in her lap, but
before she does, she casts a glance at a young man who is
strumming his ACOUSTIC GUITAR and blushes slightly.

MS. NEWMAN
Roger King!

The teen strumming the guitar turns to Ms. Newman and
smiles.

ROGER
(Singing)
Hello! It’s good to see you again!

Roger goes back to strumming his guitar. He wears a simple
white t-shirt, but has a light blue paid button up shirt
unbuttoned on over it.

MS. NEWMAN
Stephanie Monroe!

The girl page was talking to earlier turns to face Ms.
Newman. Her light brown hair is pulled up into a ponytail.
She has on a shirt for the school Dace Club, and blue jeans.

STEPHANIE
Present!

MS. NEWMAN
Ivan Newbright!

A seventeen year old slumped on the floor leaning against
his luggage wakes suddenly when he hears his name called.
IVAN has on a pair of baggy black cargo pants, and a black
shirt reading "Don’t make me come down there. -God". He
stands up and stretches.

IVAN
(Muttering)
It is too early to be flying to
Italy.
(To Ms. Newman)
Yeah... I’m here.

MS. NEWMAN
Andrew Pines!

A slightly hefty teen known as ANDREW is standing by Felice.
He turns his attention from the small girl to Ms. Newman,
and grins.

ANDREW
Accounted for.

Andrew returns his attention to Felice, and begins talking
to her, although it is obvious that her attentions lie
elsewhere.

MS. NEWMAN
Maurine Wilkins!

A tall skinny blond close to Roger flicks her hair over her
shoulder, and gives a sickly sweet smile.

MAURINE
I’m here Ms. Newman.
