DOUGIE(V.O.):
Captain, you might want to get up here..
CUT TO:
INT. NOVASTAR – THE BRIDGE
The CAPTAIN is seen coming through the door, and goes to stand next to DOUGLAS. Douglas hits a few buttons on the panels surrounding him before hitting another, and pulling back on the control stick.
DOUGLAS:
Mal, you remember those people we kinda ripped off on Shandalon?
MALCOLM:
Yeah, why?
There is an explosion just in front and DOUGLAS is forced to pull the ship up sharply. There is a loud clattering somewhere as MAL has to grab hold of something to stop him falling over.
DOUGLAS:
They ain’t too happy with us.
MALCOLM:
You think?

Of all the luck in the damn ‘verse...
Dougie, you do everything you can to stop those morons blowing us up.
MALCOLM rushes out and down the corridor. A radio can be heard crackling to life, and TERRA’s voice emits from a speaker above DOUGLAS’s head.
TERRA(V.O):

Can you hold this thing steady?
DOUGLAS hits a button.
DOUGIE:
Well if you want to get blown up...
TERRA(V.O.):
Blown up? You mean those guys we...?
DOUGLAS swerves sharply right and clattering can be heard down the radio.
INT. NOVASTAR – ENGINE ROOM CONT.
We see TERRA scrambling to her feet and grabs the radio from above on one of the walls.
DOUGLAS(V.O.):
You know that Speed restrictor you’ve been dying to rip out?
TERRA:
Obviously. You mean you’re letting me loose on it?
DOUGLAS(V.O):
Unfortunately. Now don’t break the ship! She’s gotta fly if we want out of this without blowing into a gazillion pieces.
TERRA:
I know, I know...

Now...where’s that spanner?
