It could be a delayed effect. Or you compromised the structural integrity of the barrier and now it’s beginning to come down!
ANICA

BLAKE

ANICA
I’m sick of them too! This isn’t just your mess to clean, it’s mine! I don’t enjoy running out at two in the morning to stuff a disoriented markle back through a hole! If I knew how to fix it, I would! If I knew what caused it, I’d tell you! But it certainly wasn’t me.
BLAKE
There’s nothing to say it wasn’t your messing around.
ANICA
And there’s nothing to say it wasn’t you.
BLAKE
The holes were popping up everywhere before Krill and I showed up.
ANICA
But as soon as you showed up they got worse!
BLAKE
They’ve been worsening steadily for months! That’s why the World Guard sent us here in the first place.
ANICA
There’s still no proof against.
BLAKE
(EXPLODING) There’s all the proof against! Do you want the official statistics? Should I make you a spreadsheet?
ANICA
Five years! It’s been nearly five years since I messed with the holes; that’s as good as a spreadsheet!
BLAKE

ANICA

BLAKE
