An Excerpt from Superior
PAGE ONE (three panels) Panel 1. The panel takes up the left hand side of the page. We are looking at dimly lit room, from a person’s point of view, which is looking at another across a boardroom table. The woman in front of us is dark haired, blue eyed, and strikingly stunning but on her shoulders you can barely make out the rank of Navy Captain and her tag says Ambrose. CAPTION: CAPTION #2: Panel 2. On the top panel on the second half of the page, there we are seeing from another POV –Ambrose’s- of an older man, graying hair, dark skin, he has the Air Force. On his shoulders his rank is shown as Colonel and on his tag we read the name Bale. CAPTION: Panel 3. The third and final panel is located at the bottom of the second half of the page. From a diagonal angle, we see a harsh light and see a third being- we see no rank or facial expression. Just a shadow, which the angle showing Colonel Bale in the background. CAPTION: CAPTION #2: PAGE TWO: (five panels) Panel 1. The panel takes up a full top half of the page. We see a man, well not necessarily a man but a humanoid, his body crimson in color, wearing a pair of raggedy blue jeans, no shirt. His back is to us and he is holding above his head a squad car. This man is buff, built like a tank. His target is in front of him, a pose preparing to dodge at the incoming object, from we can see this being has black hair, tanned skin that is hidden in a black shirt, black pants, and dark combat boots. Panel 2. On his target’s head is a blue hat turned backward and on his head is a pair of sunglasses. A wide smile is planted on his face. His name is Lance Steele. He goes by his call sign, “Inconel”. CAPTION: INCONEL: Panel 3. FADE IN on Titan, we see him hurling the police car at Inconel. The look on his devilish face speaks louder than words. TITAN: ARRRHHH! Panel 4. Where Lance was once standing we see it engulfed in an orange and red fireball. Panel 5. Close in on Titan’s face, a smile is planted on it. A sign of victory as he is walking away, and in the background we see the smoldering wreckage, as the flames lick the sky. It seems a little bit darker. In a tiny image there is a fist poking up through the wreckage. In the flames. PAGE THREE (two panels) Panel 1. We are now in the interior of a bank; its civilians cower in fear as Titan is standing by the door, face holding an evil grin on it. TITAN: Panel 2. Fade in on the green eye of one hostage; we can see the arm of Titan in the reflection. He is obviously being choked by it but we see something bigger than Titan in the background, in the reflection we can make out its eyes are glowing red. INCONEL (OP): PAGE FOUR (one panel) Panel 1. In this panel we see a much different Inconel, he isn’t the small teenager we saw being thrown into the rubble, thought to be dead. He’s taller, his skin in a shiny metallic color. His face is a bright gold color and his eyes are a fiery red. He stands even taller than Titan himself and the guy is buff. In the background we see a singular large hole, a gaping. Showing how Titan got in, in the background from the hole we see police cars. INCONEL: |
