A few years from now...
World civilisation has collapsed.
Australia as a nation no longer exists. Australia as a devastated and strife-torn continent is the new reality.
The former national capital Canberra is now an isolated citadel, defending itself against attacks from growing forces of Ferals and foreign invaders.
But there is hope.
The people of Canberra are defiant and tough.
They are supported by some of the best minds from around the world, who have come to make a new home in "one of the few safe places left on Earth".
And defending them all from the air are some of the world's finest pilots, who have also come to Canberra where they have formed the Lost Planet Airmen.
And leading them into combat is Squadron-Leader Samantha 'Sam' Cody, one of the greatest Australian fliers ever.
Most of her family and friends are dead. Her home city of Sydney lies in ruins.
But while Canberra lives, Commander Cody will never give up.
