A BLACK SCREEN
A splash of liquid. The strike of a match. What starts out small quickly consumes everything in its path. Wood splinters and cracks. The fire is kindled.
Sirens from fire engines sound in the distance, growing louder, until they drown out the roar of the fire.
EXT. WAREHOUSE DISTRICT - NIGHT
Despite the drizzle, a raging inferno engulfs an abandoned building. Fire fighters battle the blaze tirelessly.
A loan figures stands in the shadows, barely noticed among the din of engines and crews.
Dwarfed in a flak jacket two sizes too big, BENNIE TAYLOR fidgets a safe distance away. He delights in the flames, in the commotion . . . perhaps, too much.
