Dares of the Tube

Figured us TV writers ought to have our own specialized Dares forum. Always loved this one.

Dare: Cats mysteriously die throughout the pilot
Bonus Points: It has nothing to do with the plot
DBP: Its a different way each time
TBP: It causes a rat epidemic which once again releases the Bubonic plague

RE: Dares of the Tube

Dare: Have a character from a TV show just randomly appear, and not interact with the main characters
BP: If the main characters have no idea who is randomly walking around
DBP: If it happens more than once

RE: Dares of the Tube

Gotta add to that one:

TBP: if its Buffy or Max etc and they start randomly kicking ass in the background.
QBP: The characters in the foreground continue a regular conversation throughout.

I have always loved seeing this happen on the tele.

Your characters are watching are watching a popular TV (can be totally made up doesn't have to be on) and making comments on the characters and the situation - i.e. 'That never happens in real life. I would so never do that.'

I already plan to have something similar to that. They characters will be discussing how their lives could be made into a movie or something, except that they aren't 'Hollywood' enough. Or something to that effect.

Oooh, I'm so taking the cat one. Love it!

Dare: A character shows up to discuss the mating cycles of potted plants.
BP: If he does this in Dutch.

RE: Dares of the Tube

Didn't they do something like that on a ' Will & Grace ' ? Commenting about real life vs. television.
