I was just wondering where everyone was from since we cover the entire state and what kind of scripts are being written.

I'm from Owosso, which is about halfway between Flint and Lansing and my writing partner (bondwolf, who rarely makes it on the forums) is from Onondaga, which is between Lansing and Jackson.

What are we writing? Well, we have been writing sci-fi together for longer than she likes to admit. It's a future earth type of setting. There was an environmental catastrophe about a thousand years ago or so. Now humans live in cities scattered around afraid to interact with nature, but it hasn't stopped the scientists from playing around with genetics to some interesting results. Not everyone is content to turn their lives over to the cities though and theirs are the stories we tell.

We actually were just talking about doing a radio drama at camp this summer, so that is the format that we plan on writing in. It's new for us so it should be interesting.

I'm not far from Owosso. In the middle of no where to be exact (not really going to say where though.)

I'm writting a sci-fi comedy opera. In it the captain of the ISS Fearless falls in love for a robot who does not care for him in the slightest. His Yeoman, who is in love with him, becomes very sad and stops doing her work. At this same time an alien, who hates Earth is aboard and looking for a reason to go to war. It is up to the First Mate to keep things from going even more wrong.

I'm Misty, I'm mostly in the Ann Arbor area, even though I live in New Boston. I work in A2 and spend most of my time out this way.

I'm going to be getting together some write-ins in the A2 area, so if anyone is interested, let me know. If you want to set some up for your area, that'd be awesome, too!

This is my second ScriptFrenzy. I've written screenplays before, but I'm one of those people who gets halfway done, then gets an awesome idea so decides to work on that one, then gets halfway done, gets another idea... you get the picture. :) SF gives me a hard deadline to work toward, which is the kick in the pants I usually need.

I'm still debating over some ideas for my script. I'm torn between three ideas for feature length scripts, one idea for a set of shorts and I'm also thinking it might be fun to try my hand at a television spec script. I guess I should pick one pretty soon...

Anyway, hi and welcome! Glad to see so many people in MI taking part this year. Make sure to spread the word!

I'm in a Detroit suburb just west of Pontiac called Waterford. I'm pretty sure I'll be doing a revisionist western comic book script that I've been trying to get started on for some time, and this seemed like it would be a great motivation.
