Is my "page" the same as your "page"?

Poll! About how many words (according to your sofware's word-counting feature) are you getting on a formatted page? I use a LOT of white space, because it's just nicer for everyone, and I don't want to get a nasty, nasty surprise on validation day....

RE: Is my "page" the same as your "page"?

It's going to depend on how much action vs dialogue you have per page. If people are writing action heavy scripts, they're going to have more words than someone who has more dialogue, because of the way it's formatted.

RE: Is my "page" the same as your "page"?

I took one page from Celtx's sample screenplay of Wizard of Oz and ran it through an on-line word counter. It came up with 271.

It's virtually all dialogue except for the settings (INT. FOREST DAY).
