I've been around to the other genres and find no mention of historically set scripts. (except for the people doing westerns. Yay to them!)

Is anyone else out there setting their script in some far off era? I'd love to hear about it because I love history. I've set mine in 1879 London.

Mine is technically... half historical.
It has two plots going at the same time, and one takes place in Miocene Africa.
So... sabre-tooth tigers, giant gorialla horses, freakish elephants, and the works!
I love historical movies, too. I was surprised nano had a forum for it, but screnzy doesn't.

My script is a set of three shorts, one of which is . . . er, half historical, I suppose. The main characters are reincarnations of a couple who lived in the 17th century.

my script is historical as well -the only specification i'm giving is that it occurs sometime during the medieval period. -i'm writing the story behind the fairy tale of rapunzel.

Story behind rapunzel? Oh, that sounds cool. Have you read Gregory Maguire's novels?

I too am doing a historical piece. It is about the slave trade in Elizabethan England. I haven't got very far yet though.

the only problem i'm having is with their dialouge. i don't want them to sound too modern, but i don't want them sounding strange either. and then there's the whole question of throwing in latin phrases. it would make it sound authentic, but i don't want to confuse the reader.
anyone else having problems like these?
