I think there's a handful of movies out there (Pi,SLC Punk)that were initially storyboarded in a comic book format to really capture mood and other elements.

I would really like to first make my script into a comic book. Not made for shooting a movie, but a comic book that stands on it's own two feet.

Then, I would also like to get it into filmic mode, using imagery or inspiration from the premade comic book.

Whadya think?

Judging by the number of movies being adapted from comic book source material these days, there's nothing to say that a film cannot be made from a comic book, even to the point of duplicating the imagery therein.

I suppose if one were to add dialog to strict story boards it could, conceivably, be a comic strip or graphic novel, it's not even that long of a stretch. The name really means more as far as the intent of the sequential art and some storyboards might be a bit 'rough' compared to what a comic of the same material would be.

Yeah it makes sense. Then again, some comic books have very simple compositions and action description.
