Who would it be? Right now I'm thinking Marko Djurdjevic because he's my favorite comic book artist and his style would fit my story.

Yuu Watse! I know that she usually writes and draws her own stories but....I just love her works and have been really inspired by her, both as a writter and a drawer.
Oh! She has written Absolute Boyfriend, Alice 19th, Fushigi Yugi, and Ceres. I recomend them all...Except some of them are a tad bit...Um....Adultish...

...Ok, the girl who drew Seraph Inn, hands down, now that I think about it. Her art is just gorgeous.

Colleen Doran (if I had the money I'd ask her to draw the characters as a commission) or Eric Shanower (who drew a version of one of them once, even though he doesn't do convention pics as a rule... so that's a total keeper of a pic!)

I don't know if I'd have a manga artist do it, much as it has manga elements to the plot, unless it was Clamp. But only if they didn't do any SD or chibi pics cropping up all of a sudden. Which of course would never happen, as they ALWAYS do that, so, it's kind of moot XD

Eeeeeh, I bet you could get CLAMP to stop SD and chibis if you threatened to revoke their yaoi subtext priveleges. Also, your character design is awesome.

I don't remember seeing any SD/chibi in Clover. No kitty ears, either (like Yuzuriha in X).

This is a good idea for a thread!

While I'm a big CLAMP fan, I'd rather have Koge Donbo or Rei Izumi illustrate mine. They seem to have a better handle on humor, but can do serious things as well. I've seen comedies from CLAMP do, but it was all chibi/SD.

As for Western artists, I'd rather have an amateur artist, like Zeiva, Kaze-Hime, Toi-chan, or Kor2n3h, illustrate it. I like the character designs the first three come up with and the last one just has so much variety to what she does! If I were feeling especially odd, then I'd go with Tenkochan, because then, the pen-names would sound very amusing. "Story by Tenko. Art by Tenkochan." XD

heh, can't do that... if the yaoi subtext went away, so would half the plot XD

and thanks for the compliment! I'm still looking for scanner cord so I can upload newer (better) pics I've been doodling with...

Well out of loyalty (and he's a fantastic artist) I'd have to say my close friend and creative partner Brian Gorman. Indeed, we have a comic "pilot" "BORDERLINERS" just come out ( http://www.unicocomics.co.uk/ and http://www.lulu.com/content/2230643 )

Aside from him, I'm a fan of the art of Gary Spenser Millage ("STRANGEHAVEN"), Arthur Ranson ("2000AD" and many more), and all of the EC artists ("TALES FROM THE CRYPT" etc) from the 50s: Johnny Craig, Jack Kamen, Jack Davis, Al Feldstein, Al Williamson, Graham Ingels, Wally Wood, Harvey Kurtzman etc. Plus the guy who did the art on the short-lived SCREAM comics on the mid-80s Jose Ortiz.
