I've just finished Act 1 of my 3 Act play. But I've only got 25 pages. I was hoping for more.

I'm having sort of the same problem. I'm nearing the end of act 1 in my two act play, and I figured that I would have a little over fifty pages in act 1, then just under fifty in act two. However, it seems that I might fall short of that on both sides of intermission. Going back to add to reach 100 pages will take time.

I'm having the same problem. I finished the first act of a two act play. I'll be lucky if I make it to 50 pages. I figure I'll just call it a "short" and write a second one that's related to this one. ^_^ Although... my second one might end up being a teleplay with the same characters.

The other possability is... I may end up with two separate scripts by the end of the month. In that case... I'll be happy if the second one reaches 100 pages.

I had the same problem when I finished act2 of my 5 act play.

For a few hours I was mortified that I might end up with an Act 3 that struggled to be any more than about three pages.

Luckily the ideas came flooding in and act 3 is now my best (and longest) act so far!

Unluckily... I now have a similar problem with act 4.

The first and second acts seemed MUCH easier. Maybe because they were more lighthearted. But now it's like the material is there in my plot outline but it's just so difficult to see straight away how it is going to be dramatised in to a whole 20 page+ act. I'm getting there though.

Well, I decided after ending Act 1 at page 25 that I would have 4 Acts, all about the same length.

So now I have the opposite problem! I've just hit page 50, and Act II is still in media res.

I think I'll just write, see how many Acts I end up, see how many pages I end up, and if it all turns out to be 99 pages, I'll just type the end, over and over until I hit 100 pages!
