My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult

Hey Everyone!

I was just wondering if anyone else had read this book! I just finished it (at one in the morning :P) and bawled my eyes out! It was amazing, yet heart-wrenching. I found it terribly sad from page one.

One thing that stuck out to me about this author was how she had the ability to make you feel exactly how EACH character was feeling. She really did a good job with the different viewpoints. It really showed you not only WHAT the characters were doing, but WHY!

Anyways, for anyone who has read it, what do you think??? For anyone who hasn't what are you stilldoing here? Go read it!!! I'd definatly recommend it to anyone!

RE: My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult

I read it a year or two ago. I really liked it and found it quite well written. I find that Picoult plays the sentimentality card a lot but this has never really bothered me and I still had a strong emotional reaction to the book. While it wasn't my favorite book of all time I'd definately recommend it.

My mom borrowed it from the library a while back, but she ended up abandoning it because she think she has better things to do than read. I read it all the way through, though, and I found it to be a pretty good book.

I keep meaning to pick that up. Thanks for reminding me!

Read Keeping Faith and actually loved the precocious little girl character-- I tend to hate them in lit because they don't act like freaking kids, but she was INCREDIBLY well-written. Also, fascinating concept for the whole book. I like Picoult, she has really original ideas and takes on situations.
