woo hoo! got the camera to work. The lined yellow paper mockup was what I designed last night. The big ol' bristolboard pencils is what I did this afternoon. It'll need more fine tuning before i attempt inking/coloring. But I think it looks COOL (for me):

Couldn't think of a way to put the title right, so I put down the whole series title for it, which is Carillon Quartet.

will post a couple of character shots I did over in the other thread.

Problem is all this drawing is making me procrastinate writing, I'm about 7 pages behind where I should be! Aieee!

I don't have a cover actually done yet, though I do have ideas for covers. Maybe I should draw a mockup of the Spanner book 1 cover and then use my many graphics programs (but mainly Deep Paint and the GIMP) to create it. And maybe I should also start designing some covers (or cover substitutes for a webcomic) for individual issues. I'll be back...

Oooooooooo. Aaaaahhhh. Nice covers guys. I really like the feel of the Carillon Quartet one, with the stars and planets. Looks very epic.

I just decided on the final title for my comic. I was being wishy-washy about it before, but then I saw this thread and wanted to do a cover. So I've got the title, now to just draw the thing. Luckily I've been writing like mad today so I'm pretty much on schedule. I think I've got some time to procrastinate a little......

I'm writing my SF as a screenplay, but I'll be converting it to a graphic novel when I'm done with it. So i made a poster using actors that I associate with my characters in terms of looks. So...its sorta like a cover :P
