Who....are.....you?

Was this past weekend the last time we see snow? Lord help us I hope so.

Anyway. Just curious who else from Iowa is doing this crazy thing.

I live in Urbandale, I write slow...when I find the time to write. I'm 33, married with 2 kids, and finding the sliver of time to write is tough. I get about a page an hr in when I do.

RE: Who....are.....you?

Oh and this is my 2nd and a half script. My first was an adaptation. My 2nd was 70 pages original, and I scrapped the idea. Now I'm cowriting this new one with a friend for the contest. I'm horrible at writing quick drafts, as I labor over every sentence, so I'm not sure if I can get this done in time.

Hi Brass!

I am Mary, the unusually quiet ML for this region.

This is my second year of doing this and I am struggling this year. But I am determined!

So speak up everyone else! Speak up proudly!

RE: Who....are.....you?

So far, I'm just digging in, and while it doesn't look like I'm making much progress, uh, I'm a reporter. I'm used to wrapping up things at the last minute... if I actually have time to do things in, it makes me uncomfortable.

This is only the second script I've written. Last year's was a stage play, an adaptation of a story a teacher told my class in elementary school.. This is a movie script, I'm taking a story I loved doing for NANO and visualizing it on film.

I've done NANO several times, I know I can write 50,000 to 100,000 words in 30 days working only a parttime basis (I spend about 9 hours a day at work, and usually write for 1-3 hours a nite...) but I wasn't sure I could write a script. So it's a challenge for me.

But yeah, I really should be digging in just a little more...
It's the 17th, and that's about how far I've gotten pagewise. Guess I need to sit down and get into the action...
